The drawback of the shell coupling is low precision in the axis of the two axis, complex structure and shape, low precision in manufacturing and balance, and only suitable for low speed and stable load. The maximum outer line speed is not more than 5m/s, and balance check is required when the line speed is over 5m/s.In order to improve the balance condition, bolts should be installed on both sides. The clamp coupling does not possess the performance of axial, radial and angular compensation.The characteristic of vertical clip shell coupling is similar to the shell coupling.
